This March the 25th of 2010, my man, Percy Sledge will be giving a command performance for the "Alabama Music Hall of Fame" in Montgomery, Alabama.

This will be held at the Renaissance Montgomery Hotel & Spa at the Convention Center. Percy is originally from Leighton, Alabama. Did you know Percy Sledge had the 1st Gold Record that was recorded in Muscle Shoals, Alabama?

Facts:

• He was inducted to the "Alabama Music Hall of Fame" in 1993.
• He was inducted to the "Carolina Beach Music Hall of Fame" in 2004.
• In 2005, he was also inducted to the "Rock & Roll Music Hall of Fame."
