72Lisa's Monster Bass
Do You Have Any Big Bass To Share?
Ay' it is officially, bassin' time of the year down here in the southland. I am fixin' to head out on the river & came across this monster bass & thought I would share.....She's got me beat so far!
Bass are going to start going on bed here very soon! That means opportunity!
Guess where this monster bass was caught? You got it! Right here in Escambia County Lake in Alabama. This Bass actually weighed in at 9 pounds & 8 ounces but looks bigger!
Lisa caught this critter using a 6 inch Junebug Lizard & it paid off big! She did a catch & release....So, this largemouth can grow even bigger for the next lucky angler to come along!
The List
- Karl Williamson has caught largemouth bass that weighed 12 pounds 3 ounces, 13 pounds & 4 ounces, & other good catches from the Escambia County Lake which is formerly called Leon Brook Hines Lake. I haven't ever fished here but plan to do so now......

Way to go Lisa! That is one beautiful catch. Fishing is such a relaxing therapeutic sport, and a wonderful means to get out and observe nature.

Blessings
Thats one big honkin fishie!!
That is a huge fish, wow Lisa.
Great pictures.
Yummy.
wow that bass is huge, when I was living in Georgia for all those years we used to go bass fishing all the time. I think the biggest one I have ever caught was a 6 pounder and heck I thought that one was huge LOL Great hub :)
Nice bass! I am fortunate in that we have 5 ponds loaded with these huge fish. I have caught so many trophy size bass there is not much thrill in fishing for them anymore. Now, I fly fish for bluegill instead.
Like you, I do not care for eating them when I can catch crappie, bluegill, or catfish. Good read!
That IS a monster bass!

I used to fish Large Mouthed Bass in small lakes in Ohio; I had no idea there were so many lakes in lovely Alabama. This Hub was sooo interesting!
