Walk A Mile!

The Labor Of Another Person's Journey!

Have you ever heard the old saying "Walk A Mile In Someone's Shoes" ? This hub is dedicated to the many journeys of heroes, legends, & ordinary people of our times......

"To stand in someone's shoes is to see things from his or her point of view" Author Unkwown...

Do you remember watching the movie "To Kill A Mockingbird"? There was a part in the film where Atticus states "Don't judge people Scout until you have walked around in their shoes for awhile..." or something to that effect!

Would you walk a mile in your enemies shoes?

In a sense....Young & older people spend much of their time playing virtual games & pretending to walk in other peoples shoes!

Imagine Walking In These Peoples Shoes!

Take a momment & close your eyes & just imagine walking a mile in these unique shoes!

  • Jesus Christ
  • Martin Luther King Jr.
  • John F. Kennedy
  • John Lennon
  • Michael Jackson
  • John Wayne
  • Napoleon
  • Adolf Hitler
  • Sadam Hussein
  • Abraham Lincoln
  • Muhammad Ali
  • George Washington
  • Ghandi
  • Hilary Clinton
  • Micky Mantle
  • Hank Aaron
  • Moses
  • Judas
  • Ceasar
  • Osama Bin Laden
  • Fidel Castro
  • O.J. Simpson
  • Tiger Woods
  • Malcom X
  • Willie Nelson
  • Tupac
  • Ted Bundy
  • Al Capone
  • Jimmy Swaggort
  • Charles Manson
  • Albert Einstein

Now, what thoughts or feelings came to mind? If we was able to understand the depths of other peoples soul we would have a better understanding to the differences of faith, reasoning, & goals that drive different individuals.

Life Quotes:

  • A. Powell Davies- "Life is just a chance to grow a soul."
  • Abraham Lincoln- "And in the end, it's not the years in your life that count. It's the life in your years."
  • Agatha Christie- "I like living. I have sometimes been wildly, desparingly, acutely miserable, racked with sorrow, but through it all I still know quite certainly that just to be alive is a grand thing."
  • Alan Bennett- "Life is rather like a tin of sardines - we're all of us is looking for the key."

Gosh - at this moment being in Obama's shoes would be pretty devastating - or tiring - good points though and makes you think. I always say life is never easy but when you consider what some other folks have to bear....be thankful for what you have.

It's always great o walk a mile in someone else's shoes. Then you're a mile away from them, and you have their shoes!! Who doesn't love free shoes??

Seriously, I always remind myself to consider the lives of others. That's why I try not to be judgmental.

Another great hub Michael. You know people hate and love Fidel Castro. He certainly helped the poor of Cuba. The United Fruit Company among others were hell on the peasants of the Caribbean and Latin America. I don't think he did anything for greed. Just rambling thoughts here. You even have Hitler up there. Eva Braun- I feel we have a world of Eva Brauns- folks that live with evil and pretend they don't. Thanks Michael
